I am going to trade-up from my ISO-COM to a HEX-COM USB. The old cable has served me well for 6+ years, but as the guys/gals at Ross suggest, there are no longer version updates for this setup.
Anyway, my question is, I want to use the USB cable, but my laptop is a PIII 450 mhz with 500 MB of RAM, running XP home. This laptop is in good shape and has both USB 1.0 and a serial port, but I know it will not last forever and newer laptops do not have serial ports. Ross-tech specifically does not support this setup, but has anyone had luck running HEX-COM USB on an older PC like mine?
Thanks!

...enough. We've also seen cases where less worked, e.g. I used a 500 MHz Celeron myself for quite some tim. So we won't guarantee that your configuration will work but I'm certain based on experience that it does.
