Default vag comm

I would like to purchase a vag-comm. How difficult is this to use. I need to reset oil service light and would eventuallu do reg maint, brakes etc.

It seems from what I have seen posted there are multiple codes to do these functions.

Perhaps some time spent on the Ross-Tech website and in particular the Interactive manual would help you:

You dont need Vag-com to reset Oil service light. Please refer to your audi manual that comes with every car.

Sadly that is not true for all models and on modern cars it may even do more harm than it would do good. Depending on the vehicle configuration (country, engine etc.) the reminder may be set to flexible service intervals, the manual reset also resets to fixed intervals - than you really need a diagnostic tool to make it right again.
