I don't care about the software version error, that wasn't my doing, but I want to delete the TPMS error. Can I do this as I described above?

Thanks for the timely tips. I did 2 sessions with about an hour each to get to know the system, just browsing around. The first time I switched off the lights after 10 minutes and the second time I switched off the AC. It never occured to me to switch of the MMI. Good to know.

It's ok to use VCDS 10 to 15 minutes at a time with the Ignition switched on and not the Engine, but I would either Drive it around to charge the Battery up or use a Charger if you are going to run a Marathon or you will eventually start fouling up the Electrical which makes it way into the MMI Module in the Form of Surges. That can happen when you find yourself having to Jump Start it and Trust me, I've been down this road. You have the door open and just Trip The Door Latches with your finger and the Interior Lights will stay off which makes it easier get in and out without opening and closing doors. Laters,
