Hi all,
Can anyone reccomend a code reader for my 1990 V8 Quattro? So many different types around, but all seem to have just the 16(?) pin OBD connector, which obviously won't fit the V8's four 2-pin connectors.
Thanks

You could buy an adapater like this:

Or could retrofit a 16-pin OBD-II style diagnostic socket to make the physical connection, but most "Code Readers" won't work on that car as the diagnostic capabilities are rather rudimentary and don't use the generic OBD-II protocols.
