What does "Can't Synch Baud Rate" mean?

It means VAG-COM cannot determine what baud rate is needed
by the control module you're trying to talk to.
On cars made in the last 10 years, this almost never happens except when people try to use USB<->Serial converters which we neither recommend or support.
So:
* What kind of car (make/model/year/engine)?
* What kind of interface?
* USB<->Serial converters between PC and interfac?

That's highly unusual with any of our recent interfaces.
Have you changed any settings on the Options screen?
Can you talk to the other systems in the car?
