Default Mark your calendars: Audi Mobile Museum at Imports at Carlisle, May 18-20

<center><img src="http://www.audi4000.com/albums/karl2006/DSC01309.jpg"></center><p>Hi all,
Winter's here in the North, but the groundhogs have predicted that it'll be an early spring! Time to make your plans to come to the Audi Mobile Museum at the Imports at Carlisle, May 18-20. This year we're hoping to best our 3rd place showing for '05 and '06, and suggestions are being made for things like a morning or evening cruise, a movie night or ???? to add to the fun of the Meet.
Morgan (on the 4000/CGT group) is starting to "call out" people, I'm afraid she's named you, Phil ;-)
Cheers!<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/4000/msgs/126371.phtml">X-Post</a></li></ul>

Default AMM - play on words.....

To the original instigators of the event (Morgan and the 4000/CGT forum folks), it's known as the "Carlisle GTG Nationals", but 3 years ago, with the addition of Audi Club NA, the NSU Enthusiasts USA and the DKW Club of America, we touted it as being the "Audi Mobile Museum" to refer to the Audi Museum Mobile in Ingolstadt. Since most of us can only dream of visiting Ingolstadt, we're setting up a display of our own historic Audis in Carlisle....and it's getting better every year!
Looking forward to seeing your car this year...and maybe meeting up in Buffalo on the way!
Cheers!

Default I kind of was thinking that.

Yeah, keep me posted on travel plans. Frank and I have swapped an email or two on it.

As it gets closer the local folks may caravan down together and I was possibly going to set that up to leave from the shop whenever it makes sense. Sometime Friday morning.

Default Dunno if you want to include me in the caravan....

Frank always curses me for being slow....he even offered to lend me Rebecca's truck to tow the DKW (don't think I'll do that, though). I could leave in plenty of time to get to Buffalo early on Friday - I could even stay at my brother's place in Ridgeway to shave some travel time off. We could always use FRS radios between cars - faster ones at the front save seats for the slower ones in the back at a coffee shop in Shamokin Dam, etc.
I can guarantee that the way down will be faster than the way back....I got 7 DKWs waiting for me in Pennsylvania (got 'em for free!) and I'll be bringing a lot of salvagable bits back (engines, glass, etc.). The poor ol' Honda will be enjoying those hills.....
Cheers!
