My 99.5 A6 2.8Q has 205/55/16 standard. Will I have clearance problems if I switch to 215/55/16? These are 2.7T take-offs. I know they won't be the best performing tires, but the speedo error is very small (thanks for posting the calculator), and I need new tires before my lease ends.

A smaller sidewall and wider tire will give better handling and road grip over the stock 205/55/16. Plus your speedo will only be marginally affected. This tire size will fit on your stock wheels and I haven't heard of any clearance problems with this setup.

Good point. But will the 225/55's fit?
