17 X 7.5 wheels with 43mm offset...OK for '98 A4?
I have a '98 A4 1.8T quattro with the sports package. Right now my 7-spoke wheels are 16 X 7 with 45mm offset (I think). Will 17 X 7.5 with 43mm offset work well?

Yep (long as they're 5x112)! That's the specs on the oem celebration wheels. Run 225/45/17 tires.
Oh, and make sure you get the appropriate centering rings for Audi fitment, and lug bolts too.
