I found out today that the offset for the 18" RS4
replica wheel from Discount tire is ET30. The offset for the wheels from Achtuning is ET35 and the ones from the Wheel Echange are ET38. Would there be great differnece in looks between these wheels and what would be the best offset? Thanks for the help.

The smaller the ET, the further out the wheels will stick out.
Whether they'll fit what is the best depends on what car you have, and also how wide the wheels are.

The stock sport 17" rims for '03 A4 have an offset of ET45. I would look for a wheel with an offset of anywhere betw. ET35 and ET40. But that does not mean that ET30 won't work. As a matter of fact, such aggressive offset will give your A4 a wider stance and better looks. However, there is a risk of rubbing against the fenders (not sure how much space there is in the wheel well of your A4), especially if your car is significantly lowered (aftermarket sport. suspension).
Moreover, the further away you are from stock offset, the more strain you're putting on the suspension components, but it's difficult to say for sure what the long-term effects would be. There is also a risk that some **** dealer will deny you suspension/drivetrain warranty work if they find out that your wheels have offset which is way off from stock. But I suppose just the fact that you'll have 18" aftermarket wheels may be a good enough reason for some dealers to deny warranty. But these are exceptional cases, I'd think.

What is interesting about the Discount Wheels with
the ET30 is that they specifically told me that
they will only fit Quattro's.

on the B5 platform the FWD, non quattro have a beam axle for a rear suspension. When the suspension travels it "pretty" much traels straight up and down. And if the car is lowered it will rub slightly with the wheel well liner as the suspension travels up. On the quattro the rear suspension is independent. When it travels up it creates negative camber i think, basically the wheel travels like this "(-" notice the arch in the "(" thus it does not rub but the FWD travels like this "|-" thus rubbing a bit. The wheels i have are the performance alloy ones with a 35 offset i beleive but am not sure because they look very aggresive for being a 35 offset, they rub on my car but not on the previous owners car which was a quattro.
