1998 A6 rims on 2002 A4?
still new to audi's so please bear with me. There is a set of 16" A6 wheels for sale locally I am interested in for my 02' A4. I know the bolt pattern matches up but I don't know if the wheels otherwise fit (backspacing, center ring, spacers, longer/shorter bolts).
Anybody know of this being done before?
Thanks.

All the bolts, center bore etc. are uniform from A4 to A6
Thus wheel offset and brake caliper clearance are your only likely issues. No specific knowledge here, but if you are talking a stock A4 with baseline equipment, I would expect the minimum diameter might have been either 14" or 15", so with a 16" A6 wheel it is likely to fly, given baseline (2.8 V6) A6 brakes should have been at least the A4 V6 brake sizing, let alone a 4 banger.
See if anyone else has more specific experience though.
