Hi, I'm new to the forum and was hoping to get some advice. I bought a used 2001 TT and it's time to get new tires. Currently I have Potenza 225/45Z17. I looked through tirerack and just put in my tire size and did a sort by price. There are so many I don't know what to get.
1. I currently have Z rated tires, but do I have to get Z's again? If not, I can go down a grade (I think V rated) if that saves money.
2. I'm slightly on a budget but if a $10 more per tire will really make a difference, I would consider that.
3. So based on that, does anyone have any recommendations for me? Brands and/or models?
4. I'm from the southern CA area, so would summer tires be just as good, or should I go with all-season?
Thanks in advance!

Some of the higher performance all seasons are really nice for most drivers. I am using the neros for my summer tires (although M&S) as I have a dedicated winter set (pilot alpins). I wanted more tread life and quieter tires for my roadster. Post to the TT list and you might get some more specific feedback. The list provided is good but I would add the Pzero neros to it.
