Curious

Isn't the stock sport wheel size a 16" x 6.5"? Will a 45 series tire go on such a narrow rim? I understand that this IS NOT a plus-zero fitment and it has a shorter OD...I'm just wanting to know "IF" this size tire can safely be used on this size rim. Would this smaller OD tire size affect the ABS or Quattro? Typically 3% is as much as I would want to go and this size is about a 4% difference.

Stock sport wheel is 16 x 7, 225 width should be OK

Joe Goeke had this on his autox car (pretty sure he needed spacers with the sport package)

To keep the OD the same should use 225/50/16 - ABS and Quattro OK if all tires the same

With 205/55 OE, aren't 215/50 and 225/45 general rule to keep same OD?
