3 less mpg with new tires?

I recently replaced my worn SP8000s with Potenza S03s. Same size 205/55/16 and same stock wheels. PSI at 38lbs and directional markers are correct. However I've noticed that I'm averaging 3 mpg less than before the new tires. I'm now down to 21.5mpg with 90% highway driving. Is this normal from these tires or is there something else wrong? Thanks.

I believe that are several factors that might cause increase or decrease in mpg. They are just my theories....
1. old tires get out of round thus creates more drag than completely round tires. more gas
2. older tires have slightly less circumference thus easier to rotate. save gas
3. touring tires or tires with E (for economy) has less rolling resistance than sticky high performance tires. save gas.
4. your driving style; like the last guys mentioned is what I believe cause the major difference in your mpg. I believe you were just so eager to test out your new tires that you were more aggressive in driving and carrying more speed into corners.
