Default about to pull the trigger on some 235/40/18 T1S's does anyone see a problem with this? 25.25'' ride

height on 18x8 oz SL's. Was runnin 225/40/18 S03's with light rubbing over large bumps. I was under the impression the T1's are quite narrower than the SO3's. I know I have asked this question before but I just want to make sure before I buy them. Thanks.. :-)

Default I'm not following your logic here..

If you were already rubbing with 225/40/18, then why are you trying to stick something bigger in there? Sure, the S-03s may have been slightly wider for their size, but if you're rubbing because you're bottoming out, then the issue is with tire diameter, not tire width. If you do what you're planning on doing, you'll just increase the diameter from 25" to 25.4". Good luck with that. :-)

Default Rubbing has to do with tire width, hence when you roll the fenders you open the wheel well up for

a wider tire. I was shown a comparison between a 235 Toyo and 225 So3 and the S03 looked significantly wider still. Obviously tire hight also plays a roll but not in this case.

Default oh, so you're rubbing against your fenders then?

hmm... In that case there shouldn't be much difference then.

Default If you've already got light rubbing, it will probably only get worse with 235's...

...those 225 S-03's are about as wide as 230's. So a 235 T-1S, is still about 2.5mm wider on each side than a 225 S-03, but a 235/40's sidewall will also be 4mm taller than a 225/40's sidewall.
