Default AoA sport springs for non sport A4

Hi All
I been really debating what to do about my suspension and I have posted things that here before. I know that I really want the best I can go with some Koni Coilovers. But all I really want to do is lower the ride a bit and reduce the amount of sway and not really make the car ride any tougher matter of a fact ideally I would a very smooth ride thats just a bit lower. Thus can anyone comment on thread below about replacing just the springs? I figured if I did that I save me about $500 or so bucks maybe more.

http://www.a4.org/forum/m/a4/191290.phtml</a

Default I don't know if the stock shocks will work or not

Most shocks are designed for a specific center point - I am sure there is some bandwidth that it does not matter, but I do not know if 20mm will make a difference. Something to consider. There were also some other changes I thought to the suspension besides shocks and height. Sway bars? grommets?? Does anyones else know
