Audi A4 16" rims - are 215/55/16 Blizzacks a good idea?

I can get a good price on the above from a used tire dealer. My stock sport rims for my A4 1.8 come with oem 205/55/16 Dunlop 5000 which did poorly in recent snowstorms. OK for going in snow, not good for stopping or turns. I know that narrower tire width is better. But won't the sidewall on the 215s be taller than the 205s. I am confused by tire terminology. The plan was to have snows mounted on the stock alloys and then get another set for the summer and stick the Dunlops on them since they still have decent tread left. I like the A4 5 spoke rims that come stock on the 2.8s from 1999 (and maybe other years for all I know)

Thanks, I was afraid of that. I am trying to get tires locally but may have to call you at the Tirerack. Locally, they want about $400 + tax, mounting, etc. for basically no name snow tires. Not even speed rated. At that price it would be worth it to go with steelies and M2s. But I am trying to be able to use my stock sports for a winter wheel (since they are already scuffed) and then buy other rims for summer
