Default Audi Caps fit Ronal Wheels, etc. !!!

As most of you know, Ronal is the OEM manufacturer of Audi, Vw, Mercedes, Porsche, etc. alloy wheels. In fact the Ronal R-28 was chosen as the BEST QUALITY ALLOY WHEEL,--by the German TUV Organization--over 15 major wheel companies, like BBS, Borbet, OZ, Antera,--just to name a few.

The Audi A4 center caps fit most of our wheels, but it gets confusing sometimes--so here goes again:
The 5 spoke Audi A-4 wheel centercap, Audi Part # 4B0-601170 fits our new R-7 and LZ wheels.
The 7 spoke Audi A-4 wheel centercap, Audi Part #
8936-01170 fits our LV and the R-28 wheels.
Hope this helps.

Default Here's a closeup pic of the LV w/Audi Sport 7-spoke center cap...

I'm not sure what motivated Gary to post that Audi center caps fit Ronals (?) -- maybe a post down below.
But I must say, they are a perfect fit and look stock. So ... I thought I'd share a pic of my setup:

Default 17x8 with 35 mm offset, and . . .

. . . you'll need to <a href="mailto:gary@ronalusa.com">email Gary@Ronal</a> for current pricing info. I bought mine last summer, upgraded to PZeros and had the SmarTire Tire Monitoring System installed so I doubt what I paid would be relevant.

Also, I've posted reviews on my setup numerous times (should be a post on Page 2 or 3 now in which I responded to someone) so if you want more info just search for my name and LV.

Rob O,

I did the search you suggested and found an interesting comment from you back in August of 1998. Apparently you changed your tune on the LV!

"Honestly, I don't really care for "cut-spoke" designs. These are pretty nice, but I wouldn't take them over a more conventional 5, 6, or 7-spoke wheel.

That design kinda looks like it came from the Red Baron.

Rob O"

That's pretty funny! Anyway, I agree with you on both accounts. I didn't like the LV when I first saw it in person a year ago. Now I'm seriously concidering getting a set for my Avant. This one has to grow on you, eh?

Take care,
Rich

Default That's funny...

I did think they were ugly when Gary first introduced them and have said so in all my posts since buying a set. I still think they look terrible on certain cars, like the TT, but they look good on the A4. I saw a set on a SAAB 9-3 convertible a couple days ago (to my surprise) and they looked good on it too.

FWIW, I highly recommend them if you are considering a set. I wrote up a User Review --which hasn't been posted yet -- but it's pretty much the same as my recent response to someone who asked me what I thought of them (original thread started with "Hey RobO..." and was posted within the last 2-3 weeks).

I have a few pics temporarily posted to <a href="http://home.earthlink.net/~gofetch" style="text-decoration:none">my website</a>, just <a href="http://home.earthlink.net/~gofetch/garage/a4_pics.html" style="text-decoration:none">click here</a>

Default What are the dimensions for the 5-Spoke cap?

I recently bought some new Konig Tantrums (replacing the 7-spoke) and was going to have a vinyl sticker made up - but if the center cap off of the 5-spoke would work...
