Regular tires - meaning performance or all season?

Go to the Tire Rack and read the reviews. or just read the earlier posts here.
You have to know what you want too - performance snows or snows that are better in ice but sacrifice dry road handling.
You will also want to get a set of wheels for the tires like I have here - or put the snows on your existing wheels and get performance wheels and tires for the summer.

Best at what?
Ice + Snow:
Nokian Hakka2 studded (or if you can't run studs, go with Nokian RSi or Michelin X-Ice)
winter performance with capable snow:
Nokian WR
Michelin Pilot Alpine PA2
Dunlop Wintersport M2/M3
Pirelli Snowsport 210/240
Bridgestone Blizzak LM22/LM25
All-Season:
Continental ContiExtreme Contact
Pirelli PZero M+S
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S

Re: Regular tires - meaning performance or all season?
thanks - I think what I m going to do is get a fresh pair of reasonable price rims and snow tire set - likely the ones recommended on Tire rack - thanks!
