Hi:
For the above-noted car, what is your opinion as to the "best" tire? I'm currently running 245 40R 18 Continental Pro Contacts...
Thanks!
Richard

When you think of "best" are you trying to find a tire with maximum wear and ride comfort? Or is the best performance/grip and handling most important? The more you can tell us about what you're looking for, your driving style and conditions, the more accurate our recommendations will be.

Gary:
That's a good question. In those two broad categories, what tires would you recommend - 1) Ride quality and tread life, or 2) Performance
While I don't push it all the time, I do occasionally...Typically, I have only myself or one other person in the car, and I don't carry heavy loads or lots of luggage.
I notice from your site that there's a big price difference between staying with the Continentals, rather than going to a tire like the Michelin PS2...what would I gain with the Michelins, for example?
Thanks for any suggestions or advice you can offer.
Cheers.

For quiet ride and long wear, consider the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity. If you're after maximum dry grip and steering response and willing to give up some wear and put up with a stiffer ride, I like the Michelin PS2 and Goodyear F1 Asymmetric.
