Anybody have any opinions on these two snow tires? This would be for New England driving, but mostly around town or highway trips, not for ski trips.

I've not used the WS-50 in the snow but I've used the MZ-01 and the Hakka Q has better lateral traction and handling on snow and dry pavement.
Can't go wrong with either, but I'd get the Hakka if the prices are similar.

I had the hakkapolita Q's on my '99 passat wagon. Excellent wet/snow traction, even at speed. I've been using them for 2 years, and I take 'em off during the summer since the sipes make the tire a bit less durable than an all-season. Still, for traction they're the best thing short of a studded set.
