Gonna take the plunge this week - finally.
Decided on the Borbet Type T. Planning on getting the 17x8 with ET35.
Will the 235/40/17 fit?
Will it look "ballooned"?
Will this setup rub? (I have the Sports suspension with NO plans to go lower.)
Thanks in advance for the help.
Mike O.
98.5 1.8TQMS, Wett 1.0, Stebro, Mintex,etc,etc,etc
I have 245/40 S-02 PP on 17x8 wheels on the rear of my Z3. I have the same wheels with 225/45 on the front. Both of these look fine, so 235/40 should look and work well. I'm considering 17x8 ET35 with 245/40 S-02 PP for my A4. BTW - the tread on the 205 SP8000s is .5" wider than the tread on the 225 S-02 PP. Email me if you want pics of they look on my Z3.
CraigB

You should look at the data for the tires you plan to use. Dunlop has two different recommedatins: The one below recommeds 245/40ZR17 and the other one is at
http://www.dunloptire.com/cgi-bin/dunlop/fitment/fitment.pl recommends 225/45ZR17
Still trying to make up my mind. I think a lot depends on the offset opf the wheel too.
Reggie
98.5 3.0vQMS

Dunlop Filtment guide
