Dunlop Sport M2 - generally accepted as the best high performance snow tire. H speed rated.
Michelin Pilot Alpin - In between the Dunlop and Bridgestone. Special rubber compound (like the Blizzak) make this a very good tire on ice and packed snow. The tread pattern is not very aggressive so deep snow may be a problem.
Bridgestone Blizzaks - the best true snow/ice tire w/o studs. Unfortunately, they wear quickly and many complain about squirmy feel.
Obviously, there are many more - check the archives for feedback. I have the Hak 1s on my A4 and the Hak Qs on my wife's Sienna. I recommend them both.
Hope this helps,
Chris
Nokian Hak 1 - old school cult following. Users swear by them - very aggressive tire. The new Hak Q is designed with newer siping technology
