Default Does anyone know anything about Dayton tires?

They're supposedly owned by Bridgestone, like Firestone is, but I haven't heard anything about them. Particularly, I'd be looking at the Daytonas in 235/35/19.

Just for comparison, would you get these or the Pirelli P7000s? tia.

Default Ahhhhhh, trick question: neither!

The company is Dayton, a tire is Daytona, both are pure crap, IMHO. The P7000 is a dog, but not unsafe. Look more at the Yok or the Kumho 712 if you want really cheap tires.

Default well there lies the problem...

I'm looking for a 235/35/19 tire so I don't have that many choices. Kumho doesn't make a 19 inch tire, according to tirerack, and the Yoko's are about 245 each. I had the p7000's before and they sucked imho, but they're cheap.

Why are the Daytona's crappy? Have you used them?

Default Haven't used them, too scared...

Take a close look at them, they fall in the same category as the grey K-mart tires, IMHO.

Default Lol, I was wrong, update...

The tires I was thinking of didn't come in your size. The Daytona ZR is a much improved tire over the SR. I can't recommend it since I don't know anything about it, but it is not as patently horrible as the other one.

Default yeah, I saw that post, Thanks

I'm going to give him a call on Monday to see what he can do for me.

As far as the damage, the rear passenger door is going to be replaced, the front pass. door is going to be repainted, and the rear quarter planel will be painted for color matching.
