Default Does re-drilling wheels reduce strength? Any cons?

I got the wheels free, but they are 5x114. Is it worth it to get them drilled? ( approx 400cdn )

Default Re: Does re-drilling wheels

try searching the archives, as this havs been touched on before.

Re-drilling DOES weaken the structural integrity of any wheel, and depending upon the manfg. process can cause potential of wheel damage, cracking, etc since you are altering the structure of the wheel, in some cases weakening the casting.. Bad idea...

Wheel Tech
