Default Dunlop Sp5000 owners--how are they after racking up some miles??

Most reviews are on new tires--how about after 5 or 10k or More miles

Still quiet?
Stay in balance?
Good in wet?
Even wear?
Good tread left?

Thanks
Doug

Default 8000 miles no problems...

still quiet, no balance issues, wearing well, lots of tread left...
Great in the wet, decent in the dry...
If you want an all-season they seem to do everything well... probably the best available when I purchased these.
I'd take a serious look at the new mich piolet AS... these seem to be at an entirely new level of performance (wet traction being the most important).
I'd buy the sp5000 again if the pilot AS didn't exist... they are more $$$ but your car is only as good as it's tires. 4 x 0 = 0
just my 2 cents

Default Sidewalls are way too soft...

Very sloppy turn in and lousy road feel. They are wearing well though.

Default I have 16,000 miles on mine and.....

they are great! Still a quiet smooth ride and I also have no balance issues. About half tread left, more than I thought I would have at this point. They are excellent in the dry and very good in the wet and snow (I live in Chicago and do not use dedicated winter rubber and have no problems).

Having said all that, I would look at the Pilot Sport A/S's next, although the price is a bit much. Also, I'm intriqued to hear about the new Sumitomo's, HTR+. But I like to try different tires. Overall, they are excellent, and would purchase again. Like jjm said, "probably the best available when I purchased these."
