<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/17215/129-2980_img.jpg"></center><p>Here's my situation
I have a Fikse 18 x 8.5 inch rim that I've had for a while now. The first two sets of tires (for summer) were So-3's and b/c of their larger than normal sizing (width specifically) I ran a 225/40/18 on them and there is a good fit, but I've always wanted a bit wider on the fitment.
I have a 2004 s4 avant (stock suspension) and wanted to know what my options are in moving up to a larger tire (i.e. 245/or 255) sizing.
I know someone who also has an S4 avant and has 255/35/18's on his SSR comps which are 18 x 8.5 but I wanted to make sure.
the tires i'm looking at are the TA KDW-2's and the Toyo T1S's.
Bottom line, I need help to ensure I get the max fitment without rubbing or offset/speedo issues.
I look forward to any and all thoughts.
Thanks!
D.

if you have any more info on it or timing as to when, I'm surely curious!
now if they could only make that damn RA-1 in a 235 40 18 I'd have my track rubber debate settled too... damn the man!
so post or email any info you know of.
thx,
d

I found a post on a Subaru forum where someone called and the Toyo Rep said at least 8-12 months before it comes to the US post was back in October). Seems strange that they'd do it that long after Canada. Also seems like a mistake not to get them here in time for spring.
Don't know the accuracy of that information, but I wasn't able to find much else. :-(
You might be able to find a Canada tire place that sells and ships to US. tiretrends.com ships to US and has the new T1-R, but their pricing is OUTRAGEOUS (even after converting from Canadian to US)

Maybe that was just pricing/sizing availability.
Yeah, the prices are Nuts. $200+ (US) for 225/45/17. Tires that much higher where you are, or just the T1-R?

Considering S-03 and PS2 both go for significantly more than CAD$400 per tire, the T1-R is a steal for 3-something... We get pretty lousy deals around town, at least when it comes to performance tires.
