Feedback on SP Sport 5000 vs Potenza RE940 vs P7000SS?
Since the search function is down...
I live on the edge of the snowbelt, DC area, and am looking for high performance all-season tires. So far I'm leaning towards the Dunlops. Can anyone share their experiences with these tires?
- Dunlop SP Sport 5000
- Bridgestone Potenza RE940
- Pirelli P7000 SS

Stay away from the P7000's
They get very, very noisy as they wear, and have marginal snow performance at best. Their dry traction was nothing to write home about, but they did well in the wet. I just mounted the SP5000's on my wife's A4 and they are much quieter, more comfortable, and appear to have better dry traction. I have not had a chance to test them in the wet or snow yet. I don't have any experience with the RE940s. HTH.
