Default Firestone SZ50

I've read several discussions of tires here, but haven't seen any opinions on the Firestone SZ50's. These tires are rated top notch in the survey section at Tirerack. Anyone have experience with these tires and how they might compare with the Dunlop SP8000's or the Bridgestone Potenza RE730's?

Thanks.

Hi, I used them before. They are very excellent summer tires. But wear out quite fast, same as other performance tires.

Oh, by the way, I think SP8000 works better in the rain.

Thanks Jack.

So how many miles could I expect to get out of a set of high performance tires? I bought snow tires last fall and am still driving on them. So I will only be driving them for part of the year.

Thanks again.

Default I disagre...SZ50 _better_ in the wet...

than the sp8000.
Also, there is a new "AQ" version, that holds it's wet performance better as the tread wears.

Oh, and I think the SZ50 outlasts most of the really HP tires.
