Default Future wheel materials (speculation) ...
<br>How feasible would it be to construct an automobile wheel out of titanium?<br>Aside from being beaucoup expensive, what might be some problems with such a wheel?<p>curious,<br>-K.

Default Future is now.
Titanium is light, but not very stiff. Magnesium and metal matrix are better and available (technomagnesio, etc.). There is a carbon fibre half wheel out for autocrossing that is 7 lbs for a 15 inch rim, Yeeha!
