Default gary and others... need help picking a set of all season 18" tires..

<center><img src="http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires/conti/co_xtreme_contact_ci2_l.jpg"></center><p>
i had 225/40/18 kumho ecsta supra 712 on 18x8.5 radons on a lowered a4 but need something with more tread life and a bit more quiet. i will not be doing any spirted drives with the new tires on the radons just normal everyday driving. so i've been looking into the following tires in 235/40/18

Continental ContiExtremeContact $140

Kumho ECSTA ASX $117

Pirelli PZero Nero M&amp;S $142

Sumitomo HTR+ $117

Falken Azenis St115 $121

Falken Ziex Ze-512 $118

i've read reviews on the tirerack site and searched them on audiworld and i'm still not completely sure what i should go with. i was leaning towards the conti's but they don't seem to be in stock unitl april at tirerack or any other tire shops. if i can't get conti's would kumho be the next best?

My Dunlop SP9000s are very quiet. I have 10k on them and still quiet.

I have experience with the first four. The Conti is indeed on backorder, estimated April ETA. The Nero M+S is consistantly one of the highest rated by our own customers, while both the Sumi HTR+ and Kumho ASX have done very well at a lower pricepoint. You might find these test results more helpful than the surveys :<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR4&url=%2Ftires%2Ftests%2Fkumho_ecsta_asx .jsp">UPH A/S Test</a></li></ul>

Great tire, but not all season.

Default Nero M+S

A blurb from the test "The PZero Nero M+S really felt at home on our dry handling course, behaving more like a summer-only tire than an all-season one. Sharing the same tread pattern as its summer-only counterpart, the Nero M+S proved superior on the handling track, producing the fastest slalom segment time, highest average cornering g's and average overall lap time of this all-season tire test."<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR4&amp;url=%2Ftires%2Ftests%2Fkumho_ecsta _asx.jsp">Tire Test</a></li></ul>

Default Gary - Are all the conti sizes on back order?

I just placed an order for 215/55VR16's in the conti extremecontact for my car. I however didnt get any notification of them being on backorder.

Default Agree that the 9000s are a good choice for those with no snow, and CSC2 as well.

For more comfort oriented tires.
