The standard Pilot Sport would be horrible in snow. Are you sure that is what you have?

For a less aggressive driver I'd lean towards the Turanza Serenity.

Default Hi Gary-Re: The standard Pilot Sport would be horrible in snow. Are you sure that is what you have?

Gary,
1)Is the Yokohama Advan S4 better in cold/snow? and
2)Is it quieter than Pilot sport A/S?

the surveys indicate it is quieter-But that is surveys. You probably have tire to tire comparison since you have driven them.

I have driven the michelins and the OEM Conti's on an A4.
Thanks.

Default Re: Those two tires were tested ---Not for snow.

-Not compared for snow cold performance (later snow test did not have S4's)
- No comparison to the OEM ConiProContacts
- No head to head with the newer Mich A/S plus- but that is minor since I don't think the Plus should be that different from original A/S (BTW I have experience with the Plus).

Default I ran the Yoko S.4. last winter & run the RE960 this winter...

I prefer the RE960 in snow. They are also quieter than the Advan. Dry & wet performance is great on either. Never tried the Michelin.
