are 19 inch RS4's rediculus to put on. Are any problems associated with putting on rims that size on a 2.7T? Anytips you can offer a newbie are appreciated. Thanks.

include ride/handling, braking and even cost both of wheels and tires. Also 19s could require possible rolling of the fenders to work on the A6. 18s maybe prove to be a better option

on the roads in your area. If the roads aren't smooth, get ready for some rough ride and possibly bent rims and damaged tires.
As SilverA4Fun mentioned, tires in that size can get pretty expensive as well.
Where I live, even 17s are considered hardcore. So, like I said, it depends. :-)

I think i'm going to go with 18's, thanks. Am I better off with 18's than I am with 16's for accel/handling?

18s will be heavier, plus you'll be most likely using wider tires with them, so acceleration will suffer.
On the other hand, shorter sidewalls will improve steering response.
