What is also great about the wheel is that it is perfect fit for 225.45/17 tires.

Default Ronal r-28 is 17x8.5" only, Imitations exist !

Yes, there are imitations out there. When you find out where the wheel is made---and what quality standards it's certified for??? then you'll see a different picture.

Default to gary at ronal...

how come, the ronal r-28, the only decent looking ronal wheel, is 8.5" wide? also, who designed your webpage, you guys really need to work on that..i was considering the r-28's but the width and the way the page is kept sort of reflected to me that the quality just might not be there, seeing as how your page isnt orderly nor very informative...take a hint from bbs's website and designs.

Default I'm not Gary, obviously, but I think I should step up and...

...let you know that the quality of Ronal wheels, and the service you will get from Ronal is exceptional. I bought a set of R-28's (16") from Gary, and I was amazed at how quickly I received the wheels. Not only that, but they were completely protected from damage, perfectly balanced, and had equal air pressure in all four tires. All I had to do was bolt them on the car! What was really amazing was that Gary had to special order my tires, and I still got everything in about a week.

As for the width, 8" would probably be more ideal on the 17" wheel, but if you are not driving on curbs, then there is nothing wrong with 8-1/2". If you care about your car and wheels, you'll try and avoid curbs anyway. Even on the 16" wheel, the lip was vulnerable, but that's what makes it look so great. I drove for about 7 months without ever curbing a wheel, and my friend and his wife who now own the car have gone 3 months without curbing.

I will agree that the Ronal website needs some work, but it's only a small part of what Ronal stands for. Remember, Ronal is a huge OEM manufacturer. They make wheels for Audi, VW, Lotus (I think), and many others. Ever heard of ACT or Centra? They're Ronal too! Make no mistake about it, Ronal wheels are very high quality, very durable, and affordable.
