Hey Everyone,
I just got new rims and tires for my A4. I upgrade my 16 to 17 inch ace lolas. I had my car aligned with the 16 inch wheels before i got my ace lolas. After i installed my rims, when i am driving on the highway, my car pulls right. I wonder do i need another alignment or is it a radial pull problem. How can i test this? I have directional tires. I can i determine if alignment problem or radial pull. thanks for any help you guys can provide

Simply changing the wheels should not affect the alignment. Have the shop start swapping tires around to see if the pull changes sides with the tire. They should know what to do.

The right lane of virtually roads is sloped to the right shoulder to allow for runoff of water in the rain. Going to 17's means a shorter, stiffer sidewall on the tire and might mean the car is just more sensitive to the road crowns now.
Try three things-
1- on the highway, in the LEFT lane, does the car pull to the left or the right? If it still pulls right, you likely have a tire or alignment problem. If it now pulls left, then you just have tires which are more sensitive to the crown.
2- Do you still have the 16's? Put them back on the car and see if the pull goes away. If it is still there, you have an alignment problem.
3- Rotate front to rear an see if it goes away. Or you could cross rotate the fronts. I know you have directional tires, but this is just a test to see if the pull changes.

tonight, i drove on the opposite side of the road. the car seems to drift towards the curb. If it was a radial pull problem, would it still drift to the left, if you where on the left hand side of the road? just wondering. also thanks for the advice
