How wide can I go on 2.7t stock 16x7 rims?
Considering options for a wheel upgrade to 17's and I was wondering...how much wider can I go from the stock 215/55/16 on a 2000 2.7t? 225/55? 235/55? Any suggestions?
Thanks, ep

On an Allroad specificly, I'd just go taller to 215/60-16.
Convenient size (1/2 over) and probally cheaper with MORE choices. New stock size on Accord, fwiw. I don't think wider is better nor economical. 225/55? 235/50? Just seems wierd.
215/60 will handle great and ride really well if you have rough roads & RR tracks or for winters.
$70-$80-$90 shipped for Altimax or Conti Extreme is not bad. Eagle Response or SP5000 at $120. I would not overthink it nor overspend. Money is tizzite and you can put good tires on an Allroad for $300...just my two cents.
New Eagle GT is pretty fat too.

On your 00 A6 2.7T we've had good experience with 225/55R16 fitments. 235/50R16 will also fit but is a rare size with no tires available.
Were you looking for all season tires or strictly summer tires?<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR8&url=/tires/index.jsp">tires</a></li></ul>

Re: Thanks...looking for an all-season.
Top tires in that size would include the Bridgestone G019, RE960A/S Pole Position and Michelin Exalto A/S.<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR8&url=/tires/index.jsp">Tires</a></li></ul>
