AudiSport44

I really liked the look and price of these wheels so I decided to pick up a set from www.discounttiredirect.com. I have a source through which I was able to receive a discount so I went ahead and purchased them.

When you go on their site they list them under 2000-2002 S4's which was also confirmed by one of their repersentatives. They guy guaranteed that they would fit.

So I wait for them in great anticipation and I receive two of the 4 wheels only a day or two later. The other two I guess are coming from another warehouse so they'll be here on Monday.

Anyways, I have a bad feeling so I decided to test fit one of the wheels, in the front of course since that's where the problems are. From the looks of it I'm convinced that they aren't going to work but I wanted to see what you guys think.

The first set of pictures show the wheel installed but the car still jacked up (the first two show the wheels only). The second set show the wheel with the car being lowered down almost all the way, I'd say 95%.

The last pictures show the brake caliper clearance which was so close the wheel actually scored the caliper ever so slightly but was spinning freely. I included a picture of how much brake pad material I have left. With new pads on there the fitment would never happen because the caliper would come out too much.

The final picture shows my ride height. It's an old one but the ride height hasn't changed. I could make them work with something like an 8mm spacer. That would combat the caliper problem but then the wheel itself will come out too much. As you can see from the pictures the lip of the wheel is almost dead even with the fender. So yeah, that kills it.

If any of you have any ideas or think these will work let me know because as of right now I'm going to send them back. There were some other people interested in these wheels so this should help out a lot of you. This is why I took so many pictures, so you can see how they fit and how they look on an S4.
