Default If I use a Michelin Pilot Sport (1) for a spare, if I I have to use it on the wrong side of the car

will I cause time to go backwards, or any other problem for short term use? Highway use to finish a trip?

Or should I find the closest tire shop and have the tire remounted for the other side?

Lastly, which side is most likely to get a flat? There must be some bias as to side. I can have the spare mounted for that side to help my odds.

Thanks,

Jim

Default Probably not a big deal for a short term use. I'd get a shop to swap it over asap though

It could cause some strange behavior if there was a lot of water on the roads. I would avoid warp speeds as well. (just to not cause an imbalance in the space/time continuum unless the flux capacitor was working properly)

I don't understand why Audi doesn't use a high performance all season uni-directional or asymetrical type tire so there is no issue of tread direction or weather concerns.

Default These are aftermarket tires, mine came with RE040 scrap rubber bands.

I changed to Michelin Pilot Sport within 2 months of purchase, now changing to Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s, which are not unidirectional. But I saw no need to replace the spare, this time. RE040 spare also had bubble, so no option then.

Default I'd guess that the right side of the car is more likely to get a flat...

...due to it being closer to the edge of the road / curb area which is more likely to collect glass, nails, etc.

As far as running a directional tire in the reverse direction, it shouldn't be a big problem although I'd be careful of additional hydroplaning.

Non-deal for a spare.
