These are not winter tires, just good H rated all seaons.
These have done well and recieved high marks in our customer survey results in the snow for an all season tire, but will fall very short of a deditcated snow tire in ice and snow conditions. In other words, good for an all season tire, but if you're looking to run a separate set of dedictated winter tires, definitely look into a 'real' winter tire.<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR8&url=/winter/index.jsp">winter</a></li></ul>

I'm running 205/55/16's V-rated, in New England, and they are fantastic in the snow, with quattro; ABS kicks in pretty quick with them in snow during braking, but it is controllable. They also handle very well in dry/wet conditions for an all-season.
