Learned my lesson -- never buy cheap rims

A week ago I hit a pothole on Interstate 91 in Mass. I was doing about 60 mph. Well, the car developed a vibration in the front end. I have 17-inch Stilauto R300s on my car. I inspected the tire and rim, and they looked fine. But just to be sure, I rotated the front and back tire on the side that hit the pothole. When I went for a drive, the vibration was still there.
I figured it was a bad wheel bearing or something suspension-related, so I took the car to my dealer. I was shocked when they told me I had two bent rims ... both on the driver's side. That's why swapping them didn't make a difference.
To make a long story short, I went to a place where they repair rims, and the guy put the rims on this rig and spun them. Not only were they out-of-round, but they wobbled from side to side.
"You got bent spokes," he said. He said he could make the wheel round again, but the wheels would still wobble from side to side.
Anyway, I ended up taking my snow tires off my oem sport rims and putting those rims back on the car. There is no point buying two new Stilautos because this damn place is littered with potholes!
I'll wait until I buy a new car before purchasing new rims for it.
.
BTW, I still have two good Stilauto R300s if anybody is interested in purchasing them. They were each $200 new ... make me an offer.
