Gonna pick up the S4 in a few months and the last set of tires on my car did extremely well for its price in the Dry but was terrible in the wet, Dunlop SP 8000 on the A4. I live in the Bay Area and am gonna get the `01 S4 in a few months. Its generally Dry and warm here during most of the year but it does rain in the fall/winter and I do go out to the snow. Any Suggestions and why?

The Dunlop S5000 has to be it. Better than many summer-only tires, and it does pretty well in snow.
Most performance tires are good in rain now, so if you are willing to switch to other tires in winter, you can buy almost anything. Bridgestone S-02 PP comes very highly recommended. I have Pirelli P Zeroes and they are great also.

i have 4k miles on them since December with my S4, through dry, rain, and snow. I think they are a great all season tire. They have great bad weather performance and good dry weather performance. I have been very happy with them.
