I think Gary is saying that you are always riding on a pcoket of air which is the air in your tires. When you change tire sizes, you are changing the "pocket of air" that you are riding on.<p>Regardless of the size of tire, proper inflation is key. Since air is the medium you are driving on, having too little air will adversely affect performance.<p>In addition to setting the air pressure of your tires, I think frequent checking is important. If you are going for a lower profile tire, check your tire pressures (cold) at least once a week and adjust accordingly. This is actually good advice for anyone with any tires, but it's very important on low profile tires, IMHO. The tires are the only thing protecting your wheels from damage. Low air pressure is not going to protect your wheels enough on a bad road.<br>
