Default Need opinions on Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position (all seasons high perf.)

I have an 2000 Audi A6 2.7t Luxury Packg.
Stock with no mods

I'm looking to buy new tires.
Are the Potenza RE960AS's are good choice?
I already asked in the C5 A6 forum but no responses.

Any help will be appreciated.

Default Put them on my allroad last week, 245/45/18xl, handle very well.....

in dry conditions. No rain or snow conditions yet. I switched from Yoko' Advan S.4. 255/40/19. These being so much smaller it is hard to compare apples to apples but they are much quieter. Tight cloverleaf at 40, no body roll or squeak at all. The confidence I have in Tire Rack's surveys & tests has been well placed so far. The Advan's were a superior tire too. Needed something new so I went with the current no.1.

Default You are the 2nd person that likes them plus good reviews on TR so...

I think I'm going to give them a try.
They get good rankings, and people seem to like these.

Thanks for the input.

Default They are pretty good in dry and wet for an all season and are the quietest tires I've ever had....

However, their sidewall seems to flex quite a bit when you corner hard. Overall, I'm happy with them.

Default I put them on a week ago...

on my 530i (235/45/17). I'm still taking it easy on them as they're breaking in, but so far no complaints. I am used to strictly summer tires and this is my first set of all-seasons, and I don't think the handling is far off from summer tires. But again, I haven't pushed them too hard yet.

They seem to be comfy and quiet except when driving over road seams that are perpendicular to your driving direction - then they tend to make a relatively noisy thump. Because they're otherwise super quiet, this thump sounds pretty loud in comparison. Anyway, it's not a deal breaker for me. I'm curious to see how they behave in light snow.
