Default Offset issue - 2 wheels ET45, 2 wheels ET37

Am I right in assuming that the "ET" value is the offset ?

My current wheels are ET45's, but the set I just picked up have two ET45's, and 2 ET37's. Should I take them back ? They are second hand, so it's going to be all or nothing. How bad is it to run the wrong offset (by 8mm?) ?

I'm assuming I should at least put matching wheels on the same axle, but should I put the "correct" ones on the front ?

Thanks,
Mike.

Default Yep, that's the offset. Sounds like a staggered setup; not necessarily a bad thing

What size wheels?

You would probably run the ET45s up front, and the ET37s in back.

Default 15x6's with 205/50/15's - I think they were a racing setup

They are old stock Ronal's from something, but I'm not sure what. 6 spokes.

Also, they seem more worn on the outsides, shoudl I try to get the tyres rotated - they are directional tyres, so I'd have to get the actual tyres swapped.

Here are the 45's. If anyone knows what they are from, I'm curious.
