Default Ok, I have a slight problem here...

I just got a new set of wheels/tires and I can't use 'em because they won't clear the brake calipers. Obviously, I'm going to have to send 'em back to where I ordered them from but I'm wondering, what wheels should I go with that will NOT rub on the friggin' calipers? The wheels I have to send back are Stilauto SR400A's. Sucks I know and I am pretty pissed but that doesn't do me any good now I guess.

I'm more concerned with what wheels I'm going to get to replace them and how much more it's going to cost me. Any suggestions would be VERY welcome. Some of the wheels I'm considering are: SSR Comps, BBS either CH's or RXII's (RXII's are a little more than I want to spend though), and possibly Kahn RSR's.

I'm not going to post who I got the wheels and tires from here at least yet. I really don't want to cause them any bad publicity at this time. If any of you want to discuss it further, feel free to email me.

Default well that just plain sucks, and your rig is stock? Call Fikse they will make you a wheel that fits.

Or Tire Rack should know what works. I cannot believe any automotive parts seller would send you wheels and tires without knowing the spacing issues with the stock setup. Bad business.

Default Easy

If you are looking at whels from Tire Rack, then everything we sell that will fit s listed for a given vehicles stock fitment.

We know this because we work closely with the mfrs. we carry to ensure as many fitmant applications as possible, and we test fit them onto the car & check data as well.

I fully guarantee every wheel fitment listed that I carry for this reason.

If you have a brake mod with larger calipers, etc., then call me & I can usually work woth our wheel engineers beforehand to ensure they will fit.

Call me to discuss your post further & I can go over our fitments once you take a look!

Regards
Eddie

Default FWIW - I love the look of the BBS CH's (more)

Johnrg posted about the Fikse's, which are also beautiful wheels, but they run over $700 per wheel. The BBS wheels will clear the calipers.

Check out this post from Leslie with the CH's on her Silver S4.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/wheel/msgs/39032.phtml">Leslie's BBS CH Post</a></li></ul>
