Default One for Gary@TireRack: SottoZero vs SnowSport 210 sizing

TireRack says my B7 Avant needs 215/55R16 with a minimum 93 load rating. Pirelli Winter SnowSport 210 is available in that size, but not the SottoZero 210. The closest size available is 205/55R16.

Can I assume that the difference is insignificant?

The 205/55R16 is shorter in height and has less load capacity than the stock tires. It would be better to chose another tire in the correct size than to overload the smaller tire. There are still plenty of good (or better IMO) snow tires left in stock in 215/55R16 like the Blizzak LM22 or Dunlop Winter Sport M3.

winter

Default Thanks, my local dealer is pushing the 205/55R16 for the B7 WInter,

Don't think he considers the load rating.
