Opinions on Bridgestone RE940

Hi all,
I have been looking through the archives to see which tires people generally recommend here. My preferences are for tires which
(i) can be driven fairly aggressively (no racing) -- stiff sidewall a plus -- I can drive faster around curves without wife's comments
(ii) are better than average in rain
(iii) have decent capability in snow (central NJ),
(iv) do not have a harsh ride and are not very noisy.
How do the recommendations on this board (e.g. SP5000) compare with the Bridgestone RE940s that I have right now? They are excellent in dry and wet and are fairly quiet, but seem to have lost all grip in snow even though there still is some tread left. BTW, mine have lasted 52000(!!) miles.
