IMO for a 215/45-17 on a BMW
I thought that these were going to be a good as tires $30-40 more based on the rave reviews I've read from individuals. They are not as noisy as some of the older tech tires (eg AVS intemediates). The performance of the tires have left me uninspired. They don't perform to my satisfaction on wet (concrete) roads. Dry performance on regular streets/AutoX is better that regular all season tires, but not close to par to UHP tires in the Bridgestone/Firestone/ Yokohama line.
Breakaway is progressive and usually predictable. In the cold (40-50º) and/or when the tires are cold, at the limit the car can get squirrily without any audio warning. Overall, I would say, you get what you pay for, a bargain performance tire for a bargain price. I wouldn't get this tire in future, I'd spend the extra $200 on 4 tires.
