My daughter just bought an '01 A6 2.7. It has the stock 5 spoke 16s with 215-55/17 tires. During the search process she has seen some nice looking wheels and would like to upgrade. What offset works for this car in a 17" application. I am assuming that 235-45/17 would be the proper sized tire? I have 2 sets of BBS 17s for my urS4 and my wife's A6 4.2. Both were marked with 35mm offset but the RXs rubbed on her stock calipers which I believe are the same as those on my daughter's car. The RCs fit just fine. The RXs clear the 993tt Big Reds front and rear on my urS4. Thanks for any help.
