I'm getting new S4 wheels for my '06 A6 3.2Q S-Line. I need hub rings for 66.6 to 57.1 mm, right? Or is it 66.56 to 57.1mm?

66.56 is 66.6 rounded

... i got throw off a bit when looking for mine.... if it has both #s (57.1 and 66.6or66.56) in description then its the right one ....its weird how they are phrased in the description but u cant add a ring to a bigger hub to fit a smaller opening ...in other words .. u cant get a ring to make a 66.6 hub smaller to fit a 57.1 ...unless its some hybrid spacer/hub ring not sure if they exist ..when u mount them it will totally make sense ...anyway

Yeah, I'm assuming I'll know what I'm doing once I go to put them on.

yup plastic... they r just there to take up the space...its the lugs that r holding things in place really...but im no expert
