I actually thought the H4S and G-009 were similar, w/the Bridgestone biased more toward ride quality
and the Yoko very nice handling (on my RSX). I did not think the G-009s were very good in snow, but people on B5 seemed to think so. I'm open to their inputs. imo, B-stones a/s are never good in snow. I have no experience with RE960, but understand they review very well. Usually I consider BS top-quality but one of the B5 guys did have a serious delamination with G-009, maybe it was BSK.
I would pull the trigger on Conti Extremes again if I needed guaranteed good snow perf, like I I did not have snow tires at all. They are like a friggin rallye tire. I settled on some Exclaims for light snow this winter. I like to try new tires and then I can recommend tried ones for friends and family.
I'm surprised the Yoko is not more popular here, with the nice handling etc. AA traction and 500 wear is unmatched, afaik. It would be nice to hear from more people with them. I would not get them if snow was a big deal, like on teh wife's car, etc. Definately biased toward performance. I'd probally rather pop for Eagle F1 a/s in the RE960s price range. It just depends on what's available in yer size.

Mine wasn't serious (or ended that way) but the G009 doesnt really perform that well once its wet

other than that its an awesome tire.
Well the blow out at 100+ coming back from FL kinda sucked since the tires are always pressure checked but oh well. Get the G009's if you find em cheap and run em. Awesome if its dry and so so once it gets wet.
Don't take my word for it either though.
If you would ask me which tires to get mounted again on the car: I wouldn't mind the G009's.

https://forums.audiworld.com/midatlantic/msgs/238482.phtml</a

Thanks. Aren't the ContiExtremes notorious for being out-of-round and tough to balance?
My car is so friggin sensitive to this, I don't want to get stuck with a tire that's hard to balance, even on a Hunter.
As for the H4S, I agree it's a nice tire. Had them on a company car before.

I got them when they 1st came out and had no problems. The shop I use now even corrected my ASX, so-
I'm not woried about unable to balance so much anymore, but I remember seeing that written about the Contis.
I think the Yokos are a good call for your car because of how I think you drive, but they are probally on the higher end of the price I would spend. Some guys, I'd say get the friggin Kumho KH-16s. Is your car a manual? That makes the difference, imo.
You are in FL with those hot roads still? Wear must be brutal.
My Altimax came on Friday, $75 shipped for 16"s.
I know you won't skimp on speed rating, but I think the Yoko TRZ would work well on larger cars, I used them on the CRV.

car is a manual. I live in Chicago now, hence the need for all-season rubber.
Unwilling/unable to put up with two dedicated sets of rubber at the moment, so one "do-it-all" set will have to do.
